5 Months Old!

And yet another month has gone by. . .
Even though I keep wishing for time to slow down!
I feel like my little boy is growing up so fast.
We've had a lot of exciting things happen.

First of all, our man is mobile.
Don't get excited, he's not really crawling.
But if you put him on a blanket, he moves his little self off pretty fast.
We like to call it his Caterpillar crawl.
He puts his bum up, keeps his head down, and pushes with his legs.
He looks like a little caterpillar moving around.
It usually takes him where he wants to go, as you can see.

Secondly, he found his foot this month.
Luckily, it hasn't made it into his mouth yet.
I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time!

He started a very odd and quite disturbing thing this month.
He would put his finger in his mouth and gag himself until he'd vomit.
Isn't that terrible?
No worries. This has tapered off.
It kind of freaked me out for awhile though!

This next picture illustrates two new things.
First, he loves to grab at everything!
Cameras, cell phones, hair (ouch), jewelry, etc.-- he wants it!
Secondly, he is drooling more than I have ever seen a human drool.
I think he could even give a Saint Bernard a run for its money. :)
Hello Bibs!

Despite this fountain of slobber he's got going on,
he's made some new friends.

His new friends are great, but not as great as Tuya.
She always wants to be near him and give him kisses.

And he likes her to be near him too.

He still loves to spend time with his sweet Daddy.

My cute boys!

His Momma still loves him a million, bajillion tons!

And you know what?
He loves her right back!
What a lucky Momma!

He spent a large majority of this month melting
Momma's heart with his smiles.

Oh, and he spent this entire 5th month of life
practicing how to be adorable.
See for yourself. . .

I guess practice makes perfect!

2 heads are better than 1

From Sawyer's point of view. . .

Meet my new friend Atley!
My Mama started tending him last week.
We are really close in age-only about 2 months apart.
It's been a lot of crazy fun at our house lately!

We like to do a lot of the same things.

Like. . .

Suck on our hands and fingers

Play with toys

Practice our tummy time

Take naps

(Sometimes at the same time to give Mama a treat)

Listen intently to Mama as she reads us stories

And hang out with Tuya

Mama loves Atley and so do I!
We're best buds already!

(p.s. Mama did not put our hands like that. I did!)

A Man of Many Hats

I am not really a person who can pull off wearing a hat.
However, that is not the case with my son. He does it with style!

And that is our man of many hats!

Four Months Old!

I can't believe that Sawyer is 4 months old!

The 4 Month Stats. . .

Weight- 15 lbs 7 oz (70%)
Height- 25 1/2 in (76%)
Head Circumference- 43.3 cm (76%)

Basically, my son is a giant.

The cutest little giant I've ever seen in my life!

Seriously!

We've had quite a few things happen this month.
The biggest being. . . he rolled over!!!
The week before he turned 4 months, he rolled from his back to his belly.
Lance and I actually missed the very first time.
That made me want to cry because I am the way I am, of course.
We were at Lance's parents house and Sawyer had just been fed.
We put him on his back on a blanket and went to get a diaper.
When we came back he was on his belly. We were stunned!
He waited until we were gone for only 10 seconds to have a milestone.
Real thoughtful of him! :)
We rolled him over again and immediately, he rolled back over!
He probably did it 15 more times that day. Crazy kiddo!
Rockin' and ROLLIN'!

Seeing as he rolls over like it's his job now. . .
he sleeps on his tummy!
I don't like it one bit and the first week I couldn't sleep myself.
I'd flip him over in the middle of the night only to find this in the morning.
How scary yet adorable at the same time!
p.s. I've given up.

He has also been moving.
I don't think that you'd consider him mobile yet, but he's pretty close.
To practice tummy time, I would put him on his tummy on the boppy.
He liked that better then being flat at first.
Well, I put him on it one morning and looked over about two minutes later
to find that he had face-planted it!

It scared me. He was pretty distressed too.
Don't you think? :)

He's really been interested in his hands lately.
Who can blame him? They are so darn chubby and cute!

Seeing as he has been cuter this month than ever
(I seem to feel this way every month)
I just can't get enough of him.

His bib is right on!

How could I not?!
He is just so lovable!

Speaking of lovable, I live with the two most lovable boys in the universe!
Look at these two in action.

One last glimpse of my 4 month old.
