So my good friend Britney told me about these swimming lessons that her son Drew was going to be taking at the local community center. They were every Tuesday from 12:30-1 which was a perfect time because it doesn't conflict with any of Reuben's naps. We decided to go for it!
Sawyer is very cautious around water. He always has been this way. When we took him in a pool when he was 7 months old he screamed the entire time even though Daddy was holding him and he was barely touching the water. He even freaks out if water gets in his eyes in the tub. This is very different from our Reuben who laughs when you dump water over his head and swims on his belly in the water like a little fish.
I knew this might be a little difficult, but since his best buddy Drew was going to be there, I figured now was as good a time as ever.
First Week

He was having a great time as long as
Miss Jeannie was holding on to him.
But when Miss Jeannie let go of him, he freaked out!
This picture is right before he realized that she had let go.
He stuck like glue to her for a little while.
But after a bit he loosened up.
He learned some moves like chicken-airplane-soldier.
He likes to practice that one at home.
I loved how he would always look up at me
to make sure I was watching him.
Reuben had fun watching his brother too!
He would smile and screech and wave to his big brother.
He was fun to watch!
I love his little tongue always hanging out.

Second Week
He put his face in the water and blew bubbles!
