Sleep is Welcome!
We had a pretty huge event in the sleeping department. Last night our five-week-old little man slept from 11:30PM to 6:30AM! He slept through the night! I'm so happy and so are my saggy eyelids! :) Yay Sawyer! We are so proud of you! We'll see if this is just a coincidence or if we are starting a new, and terrific trend!

What's In A Month?
SAWYER'S FIRST MONTH
So, What's in a month?
Let's see . . .

Week 1 VS Week 4

What else has he been doing?
He went for his first ride in his stroller.

His umbilical cord came off.

He went through probably a million diapers (no seriously).
This picture was less than a week!
He has very healthy bowels and kidneys!
He went from Newborn size diapers to Size 1.
He rolled onto his side. This happened when he was 5 days old.
This development kind of upset his mommy who is scared stiff of SIDS.

He started making cute little cooing sounds that melt his mommy's heart.

He lifted his little head up high.
He did this in the hospital to surprise his mommy when she was holding him.
She thought that little babies couldn't move much when they were born.
Hah! He showed her!

He's also learned many valuable things. Like . . .
How to blend in with his environment. Can you find him?

How to raise his hand and wait his turn.

How to sing like one of the Three Tenors. (His Daddy is jealous!)

How to cover his ears when Daddy tries to sing like the Three Tenors!
(JK Daddy)

and how to be Patient (I think the look says it all).

The remainder of the his precious time has been spent . . .
EATING yummmm

(: SMILING :)

zzzzz SLEEPING zzzzz

BEING RIDICULOUSLY CUTE

HANGING WITH DADDY

AND MOMMY

BEING LOVED ON BY DADDY

AND MOMMY

AND MAKING HIS FAMILY WONDER WHAT ON EARTH THEY EVER DID WITHOUT HIM

THAT'S WHAT'S IN A MONTH!

Time Flies When You're Loving A Little Man
If someone told me that the first three weeks of my son's life were going to go by this fast, I would have thought, "Yeah, ok." But no seriously. . . Three weeks already?!
Well I have good news and I have bad news.
Bad news. . . my computer is acting funny, even though it is a mac that my husband swears by. (I love you sweetie!) Because of this, I couldn't download even half of the pictures that we've taken of Sawyer and I have no three week, big boy picture of him to post. However,
Good news. . . being a mom is the most fabulous thing in the world and I am loving every day, no minute, no second, with this sweet little spirit!
Even at midnight, and 2AM, and 4AM, and 6AM. I'm sure you get it. Lance got up one night to take a picture of me looking like a very tired mommy. Is that even what I look like? Hopefully it's the sleep deprivation! :)
But how can't you enjoy motherhood when he looks like that?
And when he looks that tiny in his crib?
And how he snuggles his daddy right after to get dry and warm.
How he always has something to say. . .
But he thinks before he speaks.

When he makes those funny faces. . .
And then realizes what a drama king he was being. Is somebody feeling sheepish? :)
When he looks at you with those pure, loving eyes.
How he never gets tired of snuggling.
(Neither does his mommy)
And how he looks like a beautiful angel when he sleeps.
But most of all . . .
How he loves his Daddy
And how he loves his Mommy
What a gift I've been given. My new "job" is the greatest!
