Beach Baby

Sawyer has now completed his first beach vacation!
We went to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
with my Daddy's side of the fam from July 10th-17th.

Sawyer loved seeing all of his cousins!

Aidan

Mia

Siena

and Sophia

So what did Sawyer do on his first beach vacation?

He stayed in a beautiful beach house on Rodney St.
(Unfortunately, not named after his Grandpa)
that was only a couple blocks from the ocean.

He had so much fun playing with those cousins we mentioned!

He ate squash . . .
while Chef Gary made everyone else a really yummy meal. . .

. . . and dessert!

Went with Momma, Grandma and Aunt Kris to Ocean City, MD
so that his Momma could get one of her most favoritest treats
in the whole world--Cotton Candy Polish Water Ice (so good!)
His momma loves him so much that she let him have a tiny taste.
(Sharing that yearly tasty treat is serious love, my friends)

He watched Daddy, Momma, Aunt Kris and Uncle Brent
eat donuts from "The Fractured Prune."
He even met the Fractured Prune himself.
(No, that was not Uncle Brent!)

He played in the mini pool with Daddy.
And a big thanks to his Uncle Russ and Aunt Kristen
for letting us take it home with us!
(Any local babies want to come for a swim?)

He got to use his new beach towel
that Grandma bought him.

Oh yeah, and he went to the beach!

He was ready to go.

He liked hanging with Grandpa at the beach.

He liked hanging with Aunt Kristopher at the beach.

He liked hanging with Uncle Brent at the beach.

He liked hanging with Momma at the beach.

And he really liked hanging with Daddy at the beach.

At first he wasn't sure about the ocean and the waves,
but it didn't take long before he was completely comfortable.

Yep. He liked the ocean.

He also liked playing in the sand.

Eating the sand.

And even getting buried in the sand.

Yep. This baby LOVED the beach!

So of course we went back again and again.

So he could play in the ocean.

And play in the sand.

And get buried in the sand.

And have more time loving the beach.

He would have played out there forever.

I could stay at the beach forever too.
Well, maybe not forever, but it's sure beautiful.

Thanks for the trip Dad and Deb!

Loving Him!

Loving every. . .

. . . minute . . .

. . . with him!

Today was one of those days where I thought at least a couple million times that I couldn't possibly love my son anymore than I did at that minute, only to think it two minutes later!
He's walking, yep you heard me right, walking. Because he's teething and fighting a virus I think (he projectile vomited after lunch today, not sure what that's about) he's been extra snuggly. He kept walking up to my legs and squeezing me. Then he would actually let me hold him when I'd pick him up. That's crazy for my son!

He also kept chasing me around trying to give me hugs and kisses. His face would light up as I would peer around the couch at him. It actually lights up! Then with a big fatty smile he would walk to me with his arms wide open, put them around my neck and give me an open mouth kiss on the face. He just started this. He only has done it with me so far. He's been biting me for awhile but when he kisses, he doesn't bite down. He just plants a drool covered one on me. It makes me feel so special.

I've cried so many tears of joy today--why? I don't know. I am just so lucky and so happy being a loved wife and momma. This was so worth the wait!

For any of you who read this--I'm sorry about how cheesy this must sound. I guess this is why I actually need to keep a journal instead of just a blog.
