Outer Banks, NC

Marm and Mike rented our beautiful beach house

It went quickly from Sawyer's Castle . . .

. . . to Daddy's Castle!

Daddy jumped the waves with Uncle Brent.
(The waves were brutal this year, although you can't tell from this picture.)

And Momma put her feet in the water.

But Sawyer preferred to lounge in the sand.

The beach is such a romantical place.

I sure love this guy!

I'm pretty crazy about this little guy too.

Here's the Wood Family at the Beach.

None of us were happy to leave.

But we stopped at the DC Temple on the way home to ease the pain.

Sawyer was super excited to be at the temple!

And he was super excited to touch the
statue of Jesus in the Visitor's Center.

And he was super excited to touch the temple.

And to run around the temple grounds after being in a car all day!

It was a great way to end our fun vacation/road trip!!

Marm and Mike rented our beautiful beach house
in the Outer Banks again this year. We had so much fun!
We spent time with family.

Sawyer and Grandpa
(I love Sawyer's look)

Sawyer and Ashton

Sawyer with Grandpa and Grandma Martin

Kristie and Brent

and Marme and her girls.

We all went out for a nice dinner.
(And got eaten by mosquitoes as we left the restaurant)

We enjoyed having Tuya on vacation with us.
(Even though my pregnant-self has been much less patient with her)

Sawyer jumped in the pool for the first time!

He did it many more times after that.

And he really liked the "Sawyer Size" pool.

We played at the beach.

I found an adorable sea creature.

We chased Seagulls.

We built Sandcastles.

Lance built one for Sawyer, but got so into it
that he wouldn't let Sawyer touch it.
He got pretty intense with his sandcastle skills.
