The Day of Love

Here we are celebrating Valentine's Day.
We went on Thursday to avoid the crowds.
We ate at the Tokyo Diner.
I LOVE Japanese Food!
But not as much as I LOVE my hot date
or as much as I LOVE his cute side-kick in the car seat.

Here we are LOVING Valentine's Day.

Happy Hearts Day!

Big Boy Food

Sawyer had rice cereal for the first time this morning.
I think it was a success.
He probably ate over a teaspoon! :)

At first he didn't know what to think. . .

But he sure looked cute with that cereal on his face.

Overall, I think he liked it!

What a big boy!

SNOW!

I've seen more snow in the past week than I have ever seen in my life!
PA and the surrounding states have been hit harder
than they have since 1996!
We had 2 snowstorms within one week.
We got over 15 inches of snow with both storms.
It's crazy! Crazy and White!

The view from our front door. . .

Sawyer and I in front of our house. . .

Lance and Tuya on our street. . .

Elder Wood--Tay that is!

Today our youngest brother went to the Missionary Training Center
to begin his 2 year church mission!
He is going to Samara, Russia.
We are going to miss him so much but we are so proud of him.
He will be such a great missionary!

Since we've had missionary stuff on the brain
for awhile now (thanks to Tay)
we thought it was beyond funny
when one evening after our family scripture study
we looked over at Tuya to see this . . .

She looked like a little missionary with her paw on the scriptures.
Way to choose the right, Tuya.
At least someone pays attention at Family Home Evening!

5 Months Old!

And yet another month has gone by. . .
Even though I keep wishing for time to slow down!
I feel like my little boy is growing up so fast.
We've had a lot of exciting things happen.

First of all, our man is mobile.
Don't get excited, he's not really crawling.
But if you put him on a blanket, he moves his little self off pretty fast.
We like to call it his Caterpillar crawl.
He puts his bum up, keeps his head down, and pushes with his legs.
He looks like a little caterpillar moving around.
It usually takes him where he wants to go, as you can see.

Secondly, he found his foot this month.
Luckily, it hasn't made it into his mouth yet.
I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time!

He started a very odd and quite disturbing thing this month.
He would put his finger in his mouth and gag himself until he'd vomit.
Isn't that terrible?
No worries. This has tapered off.
It kind of freaked me out for awhile though!

This next picture illustrates two new things.
First, he loves to grab at everything!
Cameras, cell phones, hair (ouch), jewelry, etc.-- he wants it!
Secondly, he is drooling more than I have ever seen a human drool.
I think he could even give a Saint Bernard a run for its money. :)
Hello Bibs!

Despite this fountain of slobber he's got going on,
he's made some new friends.

His new friends are great, but not as great as Tuya.
She always wants to be near him and give him kisses.

And he likes her to be near him too.

He still loves to spend time with his sweet Daddy.

My cute boys!

His Momma still loves him a million, bajillion tons!

And you know what?
He loves her right back!
What a lucky Momma!

He spent a large majority of this month melting
Momma's heart with his smiles.

Oh, and he spent this entire 5th month of life
practicing how to be adorable.
See for yourself. . .

I guess practice makes perfect!
