In One Year

First of all, it is amazing to me that an entire year has gone by in what felt like minutes.

Secondly, I can't believe that in just one year, my tiny, helpless baby has turned into a strong, independent toddler.

A sweet and talented friend of mine has been taking pictures of Sawyer throughout the year and as I was looking at the most recent 12 month photos, I found myself looking back to the previous photo shoots.

So, I thought that I'd pick my Top 5 Favorites (so hard to pick!) from each shoot and dedicate this blog to that friend (Thanks Wendy!) and to my sweet little boy who has made this past year the most magnificent year ever!

Yes. It has been quite the magnificent year!

Two "One"derful Parties. . .

. . . For a "One"derful Little Boy!

THE FAMILY PARTY
It was Pigtastic!

Sawyer's cake. . .

Everyone else's cake. . .

Bringing out his cake. . .

He didn't like his birthday hat!

And he didn't like the flame coming out of the piggy!

He didn't really know what to do at first.

The first bite. . .

Then he got the hang of it.

Reminding us how big he is!
(Not like we need reminded)

"Here Momma, have some cake!"
(I'm putting my fingers in whether you want some or not!)

Don't worry, even though he shared,
he still ate plenty of cake.

See.

Tuya enjoyed the party too.
She got some doggy ice cream!

Sawyer got some great presents!

His favorite was from Aunt Kristie and Uncle Brent.
It was a ginormous stuffed bear--I almost had to give Lance CPR!
(Lance escorted the bear to the Salvation Army the next day)

Thank you to everyone who came
to make his 1st birthday so special!

THE FRIEND PARTY
It was Just Ducky!

The Game

The party animals

We blew out the candle much faster this time.

And he knew right what to do!

He was in a much better mood
than he was the night before.

He was even clapping for himself.

But he still wouldn't do the birthday hat.

Not a chance.

But he had a great time!

Thanks for coming friends!
