“And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven”
-Matthew 18:2-4
Everyday I am reminded of how far I have to go to be like Jesus.
My son is one of those constant reminders.

Here are two examples.
Kick in the Pants #1- For some time now, I have been reading scripture stories with Sawyer every morning after breakfast, followed by music time where he repeats "Ga" over and over again until I play the song, "I Am a Child of God." It's been a lot of fun. Immediately after breakfast, I begin singing the primary song, "Scripture Power" and we flex our muscles (yes, my large muscles) when we sing the word "power." Only after scripture and music time are over do we have playtime. One morning last week I got a phone call during breakfast which led to me working on something on the computer. He came over to me, flexed his little muscles and repeated "pow" "pow." I said something like, "Hold on a minute little guy." He poked me a minute later and I turned to see him holding his scriptures. . .

Although Momma had forgotten scripture time, he hadn't. Thanks for the reminder son!
Kick in the Pants #2- Our whole family is sick. Sawyer got sick last week and Lance and I thought that we were safe until we both got sick this weekend. Yesterday we were all so miserable that we decided to stay home from church and rest. Sawyer had been asking to watch the Lion King for months now and seeing as Lance and I both had killer headaches and didn't feel like chasing him around the house, we decided to see what he thought. We put it in and he lasted about 20 minutes before getting up and playing with his other toys. Lance and I continued watching the movie while keeping an eye on him. At one point I looked up and laughed to myself when Lance asked, "Oh no, what's he doing?" I responded with "He's reading the bible." There we were, his parents, watching a Disney Cartoon, while our one-year old was sitting contently in the corner reading his bible.

Sawyer remembered how to keep the Sabbath Day holy. Thanks for the reminder son!
