Ohio

June 1, 2014

This weekend we drove to Ohio to visit our dear friends,
The Johnsons. Oh, how we've missed them!

We met up in Kirtland and went for lunch at a little cafe,
which was a very memorable experience for us all.
There was no price on the menu and the shop owner
just kept bringing food out for us and then he charged us
an arm and a leg at the end. He also sat down
and talked to us while we ate. Soooo funny!

It was fun to let Baby Rowan play with Baby Quincy.

And Sawyer LOVED hanging out with Kingston!

We also got to meet up with the Banbury's
and celebrate Lucy as she turned 5!

Her and Sawyer were tight buds in Hershey!

Next we went to Chagrin Falls

We had so much fun with them!
It was like we had just seen them the other day.
We got to hang out at night and talk and laugh just like the old days!

On our way home we stopped back in Kirtland
to meet up with Jonny and Emery who were stopping
through Kirtland on their way to Niagara Falls.

We even met some interesting people on our way home.
Yes, it was a fun filled weekend.

Exhausting, but fun!

Stitches

May 29, 2014

I never would have thought that Reuben would be
the first one to get stitches, but that's what happens
when you walk around the garage in bare feet.

We took him to Lance's office and he put a needle in
to numb up his heel and then he cut out the foreign object.
Reuben was a real trooper. When the needle went in
he started softly saying "Owie, owie mommy. "
It broke my heart. But he kept still and I just sat beside him,
held his hand and snapped a few pictures once he was numb.

Sawyer was completely beside himself the entire time.
He kept crying and was so worried about Reuben.
We actually had him leave the room and watch a movie
on the ipad in the other room and he still kept crying.
He really loves his little brother.

We all do!

Sundays

May 28, 2014

Lance is a ward clerk at church these days.
That means that this momma is on her own before
and after church with these darling bundles of boyish energy.

Some Sundays are more challenging than others.
This past one was a challenging one.
But we made it through!

And I know our family is blessed
to have a Daddy that serves the Lord.

Soccer for Sawyer

May 27, 2014

Today was Sawyer's last day of Soccer Shots.
He's had it every week since the first week of April.

I know he's my son, but I have to say
ever since the first day he's been good.
His natural athleticism mixed with his aggressive
nature makes him really good at sports.
(He definitely didn't get either of those things from me)

I caught this picture right after he scored his FIRST GOAL!

He loves soccer!

Here's a picture of him and Coach Cesar from today.
I have a feeling that more soccer is in our future. :)

Ice Cream Pirate

"What? You've never seen an ice cream goatee before?"

"Good thing that teaberry ice cream put me in a good mood."

Sawyer the Speaker

May 18, 2014

Sawyer gave his FIRST TALK today in Primary!
We wrote it out with simple words and pictures
and practiced it until he could do it all by himself.

He did a GREAT job! I was soooo proud of him!
He was pretty pleased with himself too! :)

Last weekend Lance was gone for five days
to attend the Mohs meeting in Phoenix.

He got a lot of photos like this...

We (especially ME) were sure glad
when Daddy came home!

Taking the Littles to Little League

May 9, 2014

Last night we went on a walk to the
 Little League field
2 minutes from our house.

It was a perfect night!

6 Months Old

May 8, 2014

Weight: 18lbs 6oz  (67%ile)
Height: 2' 2.5"  (43%ile)

I love this little man.
He is a little ray of sunshine and smiles all the time.

Well maybe not all the time...

But he sure is a pleasant little dude!

He likes to be propped up on the boppy.

He likes the exersaucer

He also likes to roll around.
He started this new little habit where he would
grab the blanket when he started rolling which would result
in his head getting stuck in a blanket--not cool!

He would laugh like crazy when I would uncover him.

He managed to wiggle
out of his sleeper and got stuck,
but it didn't stress him out too much.

He loves the tub

He doesn't seem to enjoy books as much as his brothers,
(meaning he doesn't stay still for more than 10 seconds)
but he still will look at one from time to time.

For a little while we thought he might be
a thumb sucker like his brother Reuben

But apparently he just wanted to be chewing
or sucking on something at all times.

Whether it be his fingers

His Hand

Or Toys

So we decided it was time for solid foods.
Big brother fed him his first rice cereal.

At first he wasn't so sure.

But then he decided he liked it.

By the end of the month he was a pro eater.

Lots of cereal

Some Peas

Some Carrots

And some Bananas

He is a pretty good sleeper and loves his carseat.

But I don't enjoy when he sleeps face down.
Hasn't he heard about SIDS?!

But I love watching him sleep.

His dreamy smiles melt me.

I love this boys eyes

I love his perfect lips

I want to eat his chubby cheeks

I want to nibble his rolls

I love his serious face

I love his cool hair

I love his beautiful smile.

His smiles are infectious!

I even love when he drools.

Yes, this boy is too good to be true.

Happy Half-Birthday buddy.
We sure love you!
