A Blessing and Birthday Bash

January 19, 2014

This little man got blessed in church today.

It was a tender blessing given to him by his wonderful father.
I was able to sing, "I Stand All Amazed"
just like I did at his brother Reuben's blessing.

It was special to have his Grandma and
Grandpa Wood here with us for this special occasion.

Grandpa Wood and Jonny were able to be a part of the circle.
And it's a good thing, because we don't really have any close
friends here yet, so it was just them and the bishop. :)

We are so grateful today and forever
that this little angel came to join our family.
We love him so much!

Because a lot of people wanted to come to Quincy's blessing
and Reuben's birthday party, we decided to combine them.

So the Woods, Marm, Mike, Kristie, Brent,
Tania, Jonathan and Sadie were all able to come back
to our house after sacrament meeting.

Then Dad, Deb, Celena, Ryan, Mia, Ellie,
Grandma and Grandpa Wertz, Uncle Gerry, Aunt Lisa,
Uncle Donnie and Paige were all able to meet us at our house.

We had a pancake buffet since that's one of Reuben's favorite foods.

We read "Curious George Makes Pancakes."

And decorated yellow hats with Curious George Stickers.

They played Feed George His Banana game
that we made for Sawyer's party.

The Curious Kiddos
(We couldn't get anyone to smile for the camera)

Then it was cupcake time!
Sorry Quince. No cake for you.

He and George are pretty close.
I don't know of anyone who
would pick my nose for me!

Mr. Neat Freak tried to put George
back on his half-eaten cupcake.

It was a busy day,
but I think he had a great time!
We all did!

What a Blessing!

This little man got blessed in church today.

How wonderful it was!
His Daddy gave him a touching and inspired
blessing and we had lots of family and friends there.
After church, we had the family back to our house for a tasty meal.
Although we picked the food up yesterday, everything was still delicious.
The Hershey Pantry's pulled beef and
The Tokyo Diner's chicken and rice really hit the spot.
Thanks Dad and Deb!

Sawyer's four cousins came to celebrate his big day.
(Siena, Mia, Aidan, Sawyer and Sophia)

Here's our little family at the end of the Blessed day!
