The Loveboat heads to the Woods

July 5, 2014

I forgot to mention that last month we finally got to
the Stoe's, some of our favorite people in Hershey,
to pick up our boat that they've been storing for us
in their barn for about 6 years now.

It was great to see them and to finally get Daddy's boat back!
(Even if the trailer that we'd just bought
blew out a tire within the first ten miles.)

Sweet Friends

June 25, 2013

Last week the boys and I were able to go to Hershey
to meet up with some of our best friends.

First we played with Katie and her boys and Mandi and her girls.
Sawyer was so excited to see his best friends!
All of the kiddos were quite giddy!
Well actually Kennedy, Sawyer and Miles were.
Reuben and Titan didn't really know what was going on.

And the mommies were thrilled to see each other again too!

Then we headed to Misty's new house
to have dinner with her and her girls.
Sawyer had a ton of fun playing with Lex, Lily, and Lanie
and it was wonderful to see my bestie again!
I love her new house, but I love her more!!

It was a sweet day in the Sweetest Place on Earth!

Gaga for the Gardens

October 5, 2012

This past year Lance got two free tickets to the Hershey Gardens.
Since we didn't get a chance to use them while we lived in Hershey,
we decided to make a day trip down today as soon as Lance got off work.
We got there around 3 and stayed until it closed at 5--perfect amount of time!
And it was the perfect day to go since it was 75 degrees and sunny.
We all had such a wonderful time!

This sign says, "Sourwood" so we told
Sawyer to go over and make a grumpy face.
Get it, Sourwood? Well we think we're funny!

It was hard to drive away from Hershey.
We still love it so much!

Bittersweet Goodbyes

July 15, 2012

Lance and I got married in December of 2003.
August of 2004, we moved to Hershey
 (technically Hummelstown) and lived
the entire 8 years of our 8 1/2 year marriage
on the same darling street. (I heart Peggy Drive!)

We moved the last week of June and my heart is still aching.
Am I excited for a new adventure? Sure.
Do I realize that the main things that made Hershey
so memorable are here with me? Yes.
Do I still feel a little sad? You bet!

So this post is dedicated to Hershey--
our sweet house there, the sweet places there,
and most of all, the sweet people there!

OUR SWEET HOUSE
(The rooms I'll miss the most)

First of all, my baby Sawyer's room.
And I'm crying!

View from the door...

View from the windows...

View from the rocking chair.
(Crying again!)

Our Bedroom
( I loved that ceiling)

Our Kitchen
(So bright and happy!)

Our Living Room
(Something peaceful and cozy about it)

And Our Porch
(We spent a lot of time out there)

THE SWEET PLACES

Chocolate and Cocoa Avenues.
What a sweet spot!

The Hershey Pantry
(Reu's hair is so funny in this picture)

They have the BEST dessert there.
Just ask Sawyer...

The Hotel Hershey

And Sawyer's favorite place EVER, Chocolate World!

THE SWEET PEOPLE

Although we weren't able to get pictures of all of the faces
that we will never forget from Hershey, here are a few we love...

Miss Anita

Sawyer's Best Friends
Kennedy and Miles

Their Mommas, and two of my best friends.
Mandi and Katie.

Sawyer's other close buddy, Lucy.

And her Momma and my sweet friend, Michelle.
(With Reuben and Ruby)

Sawyer will sure miss his girls!
(Sawyer with Lucy and Kennedy)

Reuben even had a little girlfriend too--
Ms. Lanie Clements. Although she was an older woman.

The Clements Gals and the Wood Boys

And their sweet Momma, Misty,
whom I miss soooooo much!!

And we have to mention Aunt Ashley and Uncle Scott
(Even though they did move before us)

So here's to all of the people (those pictured above and SO many more)
who've made our 8 years in Hershey sweeter than we ever
could have imagined. You make it so hard to leave.

You are what makes Hershey the Sweetest Place on Earth!
