That's what we call Reuben when he has a stinky diaper.
Not sure how it started, but it sure caught on.

We also call him Reuster because of his crazy red hair.

But we never call him Stinky Reuster.

Cause that would just be wrong. 

A Swimming Lesson Sabbatical

Today was Sawyer's last swimming lesson. 

It was so fun to see him progress over the past three months.
He went from crying every time Ms. Jeannie let go of him
to swimming by himself (with his belt on of course).





It helped that he had his friend Drew in his class the first month
and his friend Malcolm in his class the third month.
Here he is with Malcolm.

Toward the end, he got pretty independent and 

didn't even want Ms. Jeannie to hold on to him. 

He even jumped in and went under water!

I was so proud of him!

And then he waited his turn to do it again.

He is definitely more comfortable in the water now.  

A big thanks to Ms. Jeannie. 

She's the best!

Scripture Sawyer

Last week, Sawyer was assigned to give the scripture during primary today. On Monday I started reading it over with him a few times just to make sure that he would be able to pronounce all of the words and feel comfortable repeating it after me. He, however became obsessed with learning it and wanted to practice it all of the time. By Thursday he had Amos 3:7 completely memorized. He stunned everyone in primary today as my little sunbeam got up all by himself and looked down at me smiling as he perfectly recited, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7" in his little Sawyer voice. I was sooo proud of him! And he was proud of himself! He got this picture of Jesus from the Primary president that he was really excited about. How grateful I am for my little sunbeam! 

I also forgot to do a post about General Conference in April 

and what a good boy he was as we listened while he played BINGO.

It was a great way to use up all of his Easter candy 

and he's wanted to have General Conference every weekend since

 so I'd say it was a hit! How we love this little man!

Kite Flying Fun

Lance, Sawyer and Reuben decided to get sick this weekend. 

But when we saw the beautiful day and the crazy wind, 

we (I) bundled the kids up and we headed outside to fly our kite. 

Lance laughed when he saw how I dressed them considering it was 

in the upper 50's. But in my defense, they were sick and the wind was cold!

My theory is, you can always take off layers. And eventually, we did! :)

Playground Fun with Friends

Our good friends the Grahams, 

are going to be moving away next month 

and although Lance and I are really disappointed, 

I think Sawyer might be even more upset! 

He has LOVED playing with his friends Drew and Hailey 

this year and we will REALLY miss them!

We will miss these friends a lot!
