Dinosaur Train

October 18, 2013

My best friend got us an awesome early Christmas present.
Her daughter loves the PBS show Dinosaur Train.
Since she knew my boys also love Dinosaur Train
they bought our family tickets to the show when it came to their town.
So yesterday we drove to Wilkesbarre to ride the Dinosaur Train Live!

Tickets please...

Sawyer and Sadie were so excited to be together
and to see the Dinosaur Train.

Thanks for the thoughtful gift Tania!
I love you!

We Are...Penn State!

October 14, 2013

On Friday Lance and his brother who lives in Virginia
were texting about the Penn State/Michigan game
on Saturday and at about 7PM Lance says to me,
"I found tickets on Craigslist for the game tomorrow. Should we go?"

After confirming my Marm and Mike could come up
the next day to watch the boys, we decided to go for it.

Jonny and Emery drove up that morning and got here just in time.
The game started at 4 and it was a perfect sunny day in the 70's.

It was an amazing game with 4 overtimes!
And WE WON!

And we got to share it with two of our favorite people!

Yeah State!

Picnic at the Park

October 7, 2013

Last week we took a pizza to the park across from
our new house that we're building and had a pizza picnic.
It was a beautiful evening.

I think we're going to like our new spot.

General Conference Bingo

October 6, 2013

This weekend was General Conference.
Lance and I LOVE General Conference.
Sawyer also LOVES General Conference.

Wanna know why?

Because he can get his picture taken
with our dear Prophet President Monson.

And because of General Conference Bingo.

(Please note that we used the "I Heart NY" M&M's
that Lance and I brought him home from NYC. )

Preschool

October 2, 2013

We joined a Mommy Co-op Preschool
with some friends from church.
There are 7 four-year-olds and we just swap
houses every Wednesday from 9:30-11:30.

Today was his First Day of Preschool!

He really is getting entirely too big if you ask me.

NYC

September 30, 2013

Lance and I went on our very first date
11 years ago on September 27th.

Here we are on the 27th holding a picture of us
from that very first date--that amazing evening
where "the magic happened."
(We were thinking it had been 10 years so
Lance had us hold up our hands. Ooops!)

Things have sure changed since then...

Friday the 27th we left our cute crew
with Marm and Mike and headed for a romantic
Babymoon/11 Year Anniversary of our First Date
 overnight trip to NYC.

On the way, we stopped for dinner at the Powerhouse Eatery.
This was exciting because Lance had been
wanting to eat there for a really long time!
It was really good food and a fun atmosphere.
Plus, I had a really hot date!

We finally got to the city around 11.
We parked our car in a garage near Times Square
 and walked to our hotel.

We stayed at The Millenium Broadway Hotel in Times Square.
Here is the view from our window in our room.
We normally stay in Jersey when we visit NYC,
so it was cool to be that close to everything.

They even upgraded us to a room with a king size bed
because the person that checked us in was named Reuben.

We stayed on the 33rd floor of the hotel
and ironically on Saturday I was 33 weeks pregnant!

That day we went to the Manhattan Temple.

Then we had lunch at Cosi and went to see
a matinee of Mamma Mia.
It was soooo good.

Maybe it was because we had FRONT ROW seats!
We are usually in the back of the balcony so this was a treat!

After the show we went to the M&M store
and got some souvenirs for the boys.

Then we went to an Irish Restaurant across from our hotel for dinner.
They had a tasty chicken pot pie and our waitress was Irish.
How cool is that?!

Then we headed back to our hotel to pick up our luggage,
walked to our car, and headed out of the city.

What a wonderful weekend!
After 10 years, we've still got the magic!

Apples

September 25, 2013

Today we met some people from church at
Way's Fruit Farm to go on a hayride and get some apples.
It was a lot of fun!

Chance of Rain?

September 22, 2013

Yesterday my baby sister got married.
It rained on her outdoor wedding.
But she still looked stunning!

And everyone had a lot of fun!

Besides rain is good luck!
More pictures to come...

Moving On

September 13, 2013

We got home from the beach on Sunday
and the movers came Wednesday.
All in one day they packed our belongings
and loaded them into the truck.

So after an evening of cleaning we said
goodbye to our empty little town home.

What a fun year our little family had in this place.

Then we stayed at Marm and Mike's that night
and drove to State College on Thursday.
We will be renting this lovely place
until our home is finally finished being built.
It is ironically bigger than the place we are building,
but we only had 2 options for a short term lease.

After a nice dinner at Red Lobster,
we came out to see a beautiful rainbow.

A nice omen to start out our new life in Happy Valley.

OBX

September 9, 2013

OBX Trip
September 1st-8th

We love the beach!

The beach is so relaxing!

We even like it at night.

We also love the pool!

It takes Sawyer a little while,
but slowly he warms up to the water.

Reu is our water baby!

Unlike his big brother, he was fearless
when it came to the water and never wanted
to get out unless we bribed him with watermelon.

He would swim until his lips turned blue.

We also love the Oregon Fishing Inlet.

We saw a few big fish.

One of the fisherman even helped Sawyer to catch a fish.

He put this picture of he and Sawyer on his professional blog,
so basically Sawyer is a famous fisherman now.

We loved eating at the Lone Cedar Restaurant

The food was great!

And they had an Osprey nest
in the water outside the restaurant.

We were lucky enough to have some fun visitors this year.
Like Uncle Alan and Aunt Jan.

And Jonny and Emery.

We're excited to add another little sand crab next year!

Thanks for a great trip Marm and Mike!

We love you guys!
