My Birthday Boy!

You make 32 look so good!

We sure love you!

You ever feel like this?

Because I do sometimes.

Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for all of my blessings

which are seeming extremely abundant right about now.

However, sometimes life throws some lemons at you.

Here are the lemons we've been dodging over the past 3 weeks. . .

1. After only a year and a half, the hard drive on my computer crashed.

(Yes, I lost some pictures!)

2. I got my first kidney stone.

(This caused an emergency visit to Labor and Delivery!)

3. Sawyer has been sick the entire time with a cold and terrible cough.

(The "cough" most likely was bronchitis because it turns out I have it now!)

With all of this venting, I must end by saying that

although life has thrown us some lemons lately,

I happen to love lemon in my water--especially when I have a sore throat!

Goodbye Barbie

Something that you should know about me--

I am not technologically savvy by any means.

Because of this I have never had what one would call a "fancy" phone. I would get the free phone for my plan and when I'd had that phone for about 3 or 4 years (right about the time that my current phone was ready to die) I always could get another basic phone for free and that's what I would do. I always get somewhat attached to my simple phones after all that time, but this last time was a little different. I got a PINK phone. I love her! Meet "Barbie."

For the past 4 years or so, she's gone with me everywhere!

And she's held up remarkably well. Well she still works--most of the time.

Apparently Lance hasn't been quite as impressed with Barbie

because he went out and got us a new plan and bought me a new phone.

He got me a "fancy" phone. In fact, he got me the fanciest phone there is.

And he even got me a PINK case. What a sweet and thoughtful husband!!!

Hello iPhone 4s!

So goodbye Barbie. I will never forget you!

Trick or Treating at Hershey Park in the Dark

He got the hang of it really quickly.

He'd run up, Say "Trick or Treat," Grab some candy, and Say "Thank you."

After the trick or treating, we watched a halloween band perform.

He really loved when they sang the Ghostbusters theme-song.

That actually became his favorite song for the halloween season.

He'd hum the melody and say "I ain't afraid a no ghosts!"

Derry Township Trick-or Treating

He did most of his trick-or-treating with his good friend, Anne Jones.

He met up with his fellow biker and sweet friend,

Kennedy along the way. How cute (I mean tough) are they?

He got a lot of good stuff!

And was pretty excited!

This was seriously the best Halloween ever!

Two year olds are so much fun!!

I can't wait for next year. . . and neither can Sawyer! :)

Halloween Snow

This year on October 29th, we got a monstrous snowstorm that came out of nowhere! We lost power for the entire day and even had a tent set up in our living room so we could all sleep together to stay warm. Luckily, the power came back on around 9PM so we were able to put Sawyer to bed in his own room (with some extra warm PJ's on, of course!)

Because the trees were still full of colorful leaves, the snow really weighed down the branches and there were more broken trees lying around than I'd ever seen! As a matter of fact, a huge branch crashed about 30 feet from where we were playing in the snow. It was quite terrifying, and we were so grateful that we hadn't been over there when it fell. It scared Sawyer so much that it took us a good 10 minutes to calm him down even after we went inside.

The storm was pretty crazy, and canceled the Halloween parties that we were planning on attending, but it sure was beautiful!
